Coming down to end!

Hey guys! The final week to wind things up is here. We face our finals and make it back home if we are still alive.I know we are all looking forward to that final moment where we can just sit back home, relax, stay warm, drink hot chocolate, and watch Netflix during winter break. That time is coming and we are all excited for that day to come. Catching up on my favorite TV shows and sleep is something I will definitely do doing the break. I will also go Christmas caroling and do many other fun activities and programs. Come on people, we all deserve to have some fun after going through a long semester of hard work in college. Make sure to make the most out of it!!! 🙂

Course Reflection Letter

To all the upcoming GSU 1010 freshmen,

This class has helped me make friends and to know my way around campus. It has given me tips on how I can improve the quality of my life in different aspects whether it be socially or personally. The amount of assignments that they give you in class works solely to use all the useful resources and free opportunities that Georgia State has to provide. We are all paying for them so might as well take advantage of them when we can. Study skills and strategies are given out to students for the hectic years that are awaiting for them in the future. GSU 1010 mainly targets how they can make you life easier and enjoyable here at Georgia State University. I would recommend you to take this class if you have no clue about what major you want to take, how you are going to find your way around campus or how you are going to benefit from all the opportunities provided here at Georgia State. Wishing you good luck for your freshmen year! 🙂

My Thanksgiving Pictures!

These pictures were taken ever since I came home from college and went into my thanksgiving break. My family and I went for a thanksgiving party which was held at my cousins house. All of our friends and relatives came for this delightful moment. I have also posted three pictures of my family (with me being in the picture too). I figure that you can spot easily. I have had people say that me and my sister look alike but trust me there are differences now. We used to look alike in the past but now we outgrew them to be a little different.

Atlanta-Based Learning Reflection

As we all know, when it comes to farms they always stink and have lots of bugs. The small farm which I volunteered in downtown was called Truly Living Well Urban Garden.  The purpose of this organization is to provide people with clean healthy food. They work really hard during the day to make sure all the tasks are done. Time management and having to do their jobs efficiently were two main factors which they had to keep up with everyday. They had plants which were known for their medicine and its healing effects. They also had flowers which were edible. While I was there, I was able to level out the soil and even it all out. I leveled the garden beds and made sure all the roots were taken out of the soil in doing so. This helps the soil to grow rich and healthy plants for them to bear fruit. I also experienced how farmers stay out in the sun for so long. One problem was that in some places the fertilizer was distributed unevenly so more plants might grow more in one area than the other. I was able to get an idea of how much fertilizer I should be putting on the soil to thrive. This organization does a really splendid job of making sure people get the healthy food that they need to eat.I might do volunteer work which would help bright up the lives of people. Specifically, hosting food packaging events for hungry children. I also wouldn’t mind delivering food to peoples houses. I would consult with a few friends who would be willing to devote their time for something which would make a difference in this world. As a group, people will be invited for this club. Hunger and thirst were a couple of things which I struggled to deal with while being there at the farm.
