Stacey Jones is a chemistry major at Georgia State University. Born and raised in Newark, NJ he moved to Atlanta his freshman year of high school. There he graduated with Honors and began full-time studies at GSU as a chemistry major. After his first year, he began working as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens. That summer, he was awarded a 2015 Molecular Basis of Disease (MBD) Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship in Dr. Yin’s laboratory where he began studying the challenging research area of Ubiquitin Proteasome System (UPS). He is also a recipient of the 1913 Founders Scholarship and a Dean’s List awardee. He is currently conducting research in Dr. Yin’s laboratory and completing a BS degree in chemistry, after which he hopes to pursue a Pharm. D.
