Initiative for Maximizing Student Development

2019 Spring STEM Conference at GSU

The 2019 Spring STEM Conference, sponsored by the GSU Office of STEM Education Initiatives, will be held on Friday, March 29th from 1-4 PM. This conference is a relatively casual, low-pressure opportunity to present a poster and get feedback from peers and faculty. Since the Spring STEM Conference is two weeks before GSURC (Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference), it’s a great way to get more comfortable with your poster presentation – and you can probably use the same poster for both events!

More information will be available closer to the date of the conference, so keep an eye on the Center for STEM Education Initiatives webpage at https://cas.gsu.edu/stem/ for registration and poster format details.

If you’re an undergraduate student involved in research, be sure to talk with your mentor about potential opportunities to present posters as these experiences are great resume builders and can help you make connections that may help you on your road to graduate, law, or medical school.
