Karen A. Steinbach was a staff member of CSAL. She is Program Coordinator and Clinical Research Project Manager for the Learning Disabilities Research Program at The Hospital for Sick Children. She has overseen the implementation of several large multi-site grant-funded studies. She supervises and trains psychology staff, and coordinates and directs all assessment and programming for elementary and middle school research classrooms. She co-coordinates partnerships with other school boards for both research initiatives and for the rollout of Empower™ Reading. She is also a teacher trainer and mentor for Empower™ Reading.  She is expected to contribute to the CSAL project as a liaise with partners in school districts, community schools, and settings, colleges, and correctional facilities, to oversee the recruitment and assessment of participants, to monitor on-going data collection, and to coordinate instructional programs and teachers across different sites.
