General Description
Based on lessons learned from Phase 2, the focus of Phase 3 was on pilot testing the efficacy of our curriculum. During this phase, we also had a comparison group of adult learners who did not receive our curriculum. The intervention students and the comparison students were administered pre and post-tests selected from our Phase 2 analyses. Chosen tests best accounted for variability in reading skill and best aligned with our theory of what we hoped would change as a result of our intervention.
