Maria De Palma was a staff member of CSAL. She is the Systems Coordinator and Clinical Research Manager with the Learning Disabilities Research Program (LDRP) at The Hospital for Sick Children. She has worked with the program for 18 years. She establishes and directs all aspects of the LDRP’s work with secondary schools, and co-coordinates partnerships with other school boards in Canada for both research initiatives and for the rollout of Empowerâ„¢ Reading. She is also a teacher trainer and mentor for Empowerâ„¢ Reading. She is expected to contribute to the CSAL Project as a liaison with partners in school districts, community schools and settings, colleges, and correctional facilities, to oversee the recruitment and assessment of participants, to monitor ongoing data collection, and to coordinate instructional programs and teachers across different sites.
