Léa Lacerenza is Teacher Coordinator of the Learning Disabilities Research Program (LDRP) at The Hospital for Sick Children, and consulted to CSAL on aspects of curriculum design. Mrs. Lacerenza is a co-author of the EmpowerTM Reading Programs and of their research precursors, the PHAST Reading programs (including PHAST Comprehension, PHAST Fluency, and PHAST PACES). Mrs. Lacerenza has worked with the LDRP for 25 years and has had 33 years teaching experience with exceptional children and adolescents with the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
