What is simulation? Is it the direct recreation of an event? Is it the generation of similar context? Is it teaching skills across domains? Join us at Playtest this week for a discussion about how simulation works in contemporary video games. We will be looking at Surgeon Simulator and Stardew Valley as well as talking about the long history of war games, social simulators, and job simulation games that have begun to flourish in the past several years.
