Kristin French

Ms. French is a seventh-year graduate student in the Cognitive Sciences program at Georgia State.

She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Minor in Biology. As an undergraduate, she worked with David Washburn at the Language Research Center on a reversal learning project and with Charles Menzel on chimpanzee memory and gestural/vocal communication.

Her research interests include metacognition and memory in children, nonhuman primates, and adults. She currently works with the COMIC lab, at various daycare centers, and at the Language Research Center. She is also beginning to study issues related to computer-human interface including topics related to cognitive control, and the role of cognitive load in other areas of performance.

Kristin recently completed her Masters thesis entitled “The assessment of cognitive bias in capuchin monkeys.” She is now working on her dissertation proposal.
