I was born in Decatur, GA and from there I found my love of travel. I have been in higher education for about 15 years now. I was a recruiter for three different colleges & universities, Paine College (Augusta, GA); Kentucky State University (Frankfort, KY); & Johnson C Smith University (Charlotte, NC). Each of these has enhanced my love of travel and learning about different cultures and learning how to network with a vast number of people. Currently, I work at Georgia State University – Dunwoody as an Educational Program Specialist in the TRiO Student Support Services Division.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management. I will be completing my graduate certificate in Instructional Design & Technology soon. Prayerfully, I will be moving towards a Doctorate in Higher Educational Administration. All of these add to my underlying passion which is to help young adults and people, in general, to learn differently and push themselves to be better than their yesterday.
When I am not at work or in class. I am spending time writing poetry, short stories, and working on my new passion for photography. Other than that my family is my world.
