There were three key concepts that stood out; the ADDIE Framework, the Phases of Instructional Design, and the ASC Cycle. The ADDIE Framework is a framework that all instructional design has to abide by. The Phases of Instructional Design is a method to practice instructional design. The ASC cycle reminds instructional designers that collaboration is necessary for instructional design.
All three concepts are connected, in that prior knowledge of one concept is required in order to get a full understanding of the next concept. The concepts are sequential. These three concepts stood out to me because two of them parallel my prior knowledge of academic research while the last was completely foreign to me yet tied the other two concepts together very well.
