How to Receive Training

Teachers must attend 16 hours of training before implementing Foundations for Literacy. Only teachers who attend training can purchase the curriculum.

National Distance Learning Workshop

We offer our national training virtually via zoom every summer. These workshops are led by Dr. Stacey Tucci, co-author and lead Foundations for Literacy trainer. We  will be offering three workshops in the summer of 2024. The 16 hour workshop takes place on two consecutive Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. You must attend both Saturdays. Register for only one workshop. Cost is $350/person.

Confirmation email will be sent within a week of registering with information about how to pay for training and how to purchase the curriculum.

**Foundations for Literacy is compatible for use in classrooms that use spoken English only, ASL only, sign-supported English, or a combination of the three. All trainings will include guidance for use with these instructional languages. Because there is benefit to training with like colleagues, we encourage participants who use ASL in their classrooms to join the July training. The July training will offer ASL interpreters in addition to voice-to-text captioning. June and August trainings will offer only voice-to-text captioning.
