Georgia State University’s CASA Pre-PhD Programming will provide programming and activities that will develop interest, provide information and assist with applications to graduate school among our current undergraduates and alumni. Often, students or alumni do not pursue graduate degrees because they are not aware of the opportunities these degrees can provide or the requirements of obtaining an advanced degree. Thus, there are four main goals of this program: 1) provide students and alumni with information about the benefits of graduate degrees and align current interests; 2) inform students and alumni of graduate programs and fellowship opportunities; 3)introduce current students and alumni with some of the skills that will be necessary for graduate school; and 4) discuss and detail the graduate admission process and requirements to obtain an advanced degree.
