Conference Presentations

In May, several lab members went to a great symposium at Emory called “Learning about the Vocal World: Deciphering the Statistics of Communication.” We presented two posters:

“Statistical Learning Ability Can Overcome the Negative Impact of Low Socioeconomic Status on Language Development ,” by Deocampo, Eghbalzad, & Conway

“What just happened? Exploring the Neural Mechanisms Underlying Structured Sequence Processing and Language and Their Role in Detection of Statistical/Sequential Violations,” by Smith, Pardasani, Valdez, Frishkoff, & Conway

Then, one of the key note speakers, Morten Christiansen, came to visit the NeuroLearn Lab. It was a great week!
