Originally from Minneapolis, Olivia obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Neuroscience and Classical Studies from Colgate University in 2017. During her undergraduate career, Olivia worked on several projects studying traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder at the University of Minnesota and Baylor College of Medicine. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she joined the Boston University Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center, where she worked as the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for the DIAGNOSE CTE Research Project. Olivia is excited to join the King Lab at GSU as a Ph.D. student in clinical neuropsychology in the Fall of 2020. Her research interests include utilizing multimodal neuroimaging techniques to investigate later-life cognitive, behavioral, and mood outcomes in pediatric brain tumor survivors.
We’re looking forward to having Olivia begin her graduate studies with us this fall!
One of our fantastic undergraduate assistants, Courtney Keeler, was just accepted into Columbia University’s M.A. program in clinical psychology with an advanced certificate in Sexuality, Women, and Gender. We are so excited for Courtney as she moves to NYC to begin the next phase of her career!
Happy match day! Michelle Fox, a sixth year in the lab, found out this morning that she matched for internship at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. We are so proud of Michelle and everything she has accomplished as she sets off on this new experience!
The lab recently returned from the annual meeting of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), which was held in Denver this year. Rella Kautiainen’s master’s thesis project was selected for an oral presentation this year, which is a huge accomplishment! She did a great job sharing her research with a captivated audience.
Our other members did a fabulous job representing the lab as well, presenting posters on a range of topics.
