If the bill was passed the addition of cyberbullying defined would be added to the Official Code of Georgia Annotated and implemented in the Georgia board of education policy. It would be administrated by the state of Georgia
The passing of this bill could lead to potential in school programs that would help teach students and provide victims protection. Cost is one of the reasons going nowhere. Empowering kids becomes more important. Currently children who are bullied have long term consequences as studies are showing now that children who are bullied once older have psychological effects such as stress in adulthood (Isaacs, 2010).
Without proper implementation and some regulation lawsuits will continue to grow and cases nationwide will become more frequent (Cyberbullying Victims Turning to Lawsuits,2012).
