Ashley D. Frederick is currently the Alternative Text Production Coordinator at The University of Georgia. Ashley is in charge of making course materials accessible for students with disabilities. Her favorite professional accomplishment is that she got promoted to her current role due to her previous supervisor leaving to go work with Donald Glover (her celebrity boyfriend) on the set of Atlanta.

Her values are honesty, hard work, and creativity. They inform her career by keeping her up to date on current trends in the Alternative Format world and helps solve the many different requests her office receives.

Outside of work, Ashley is a single mom to the cutest toddler, Fiona, whom she gave birth to 20 days after she got promoted. She managed to work the entire time without experiencing contractions of any kind and had the best pregnancy experience. Fiona is the light of her life and Ashley is pursuing this degree so she can give her daughter the best life possible. Ashley has a cat, Duke Oliver aka Ollie aka Cat-cat (Fiona’s name for him). He’s fluffy, purrs all the time, and likes to give kisses.

Ashley grew up in Daytona Beach and attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) where she received her bachelors in Social Work. She’s been freaking out about the Hurricane all weekend, hence why this blog post is later than when she originally intended to post it.
