Victoria is passionate about empowering people through technology. In 2014, she founded Women Techmakers Fresno, the first women in technology meet-up group in California’s Central Valley. Through Women Techmakers, Victoria organized free career seminars and web development classes in a region traditionally lacking in tech resources. Victoria views a career in instructional design as an opportunity to increase access to high quality training and education.
After several years as a nomadic military spouse, Victoria is an expert at applying for driver’s licenses and forwarding mail. She is now happily and permanently located in Decatur, GA, with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
I enjoyed reading your bio with a sprinkle of your sense of humor. Way to pioneer and create opportunities for women to continue their learning using technology! I’m looking forward to reading your reflections.
