Ashley Payton is a Chicago, IL native who moved to Atlanta, GA (like the rest of 80% of Atlanta’s population) in 2017. She’s enrolled in the The M.A. program in creative and innovative education (MACIE) with a concentration in educational entrepreneurship and business. She currently serves as the Early Learning Specialist at Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB). In her role, she delivers PBS KIDS family workshops that focus on STEAM and literacy, as well as professional development workshops to early learning educators. Professionally, Ashley has worked with children and families for 7+ years. In addition to being an educator and youth advocate, she’s also an actress and a cohost for one of GPB’s original shows. Ashley’s long-term goal is to fuse her love for both media and education and create a successful career in “edutainment” to empower learners and families. She is truly passionate about working within the community, behind, and in front of the camera! 🙂
