Hello and welcome to my homepage! I am a Professor of Mathematics at Georgia State University Perimeter College. I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia in 2004. Before that, I received an MA in Mathematics from the University of Georgia, an MA in Economics from West Virginia University, and a BS in Mathematics from Hertfordshire University in England.

I have been teaching Online Mathematics and Mathematics education courses using different platforms since 1999. Before teaching, I worked in the private industry as a Research Analyst.

I was Georgia Governor’s Teaching Fellow in 2011 and recipient of the Georgia Perimeter College Exemplary Professor Award in 2012. I have written two study guides and a self-help book for students on how to be successful in their mathematics journey.

I am a member of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC), the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), and the Georgia Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (GMATYC). I served as the AMATYC Placement and Assessment Committee Chair, 2014-2017, and AMATYC Secretary, 2018-2019. President of GMATYC during the calendar years 2018-2019. Since 2020 have been serving as the AMATYC Professional Development Coordinator. I present at various international, national, regional, and local professional conferences.
