About Me
I am currently a Lecturer in Georgia State University’s Psychology Department. Throughout my PhD, my research focus was on people’s ability to learn statistical contingencies/ non-random patterns as well as their awareness of these patterns. For my dissertation, I explored the statistical learning ability of adults with and without a reading disability using a variety of tasks. All of this work involved physiological and behavioral data acquisition in an attempt to study how people acquire knowledge of statistical sequences. My writing, computational and programming skills are a constant work in progress.
Additionally, I hope to continue adding to my teaching portfolio. As a teacher, my general aim is to teach students how to think objectively and write creatively. I like to promote healthy dialogue within a space where students are mindful of each other’s opinions. Having continuously worked in a multicultural environment, I have nurtured an appreciation for diversity and global issues. I look forward to teaching and learning with many more students in the future.
While I focus on both teaching and publishing recent research, I am actively looking to advance my research and/ or teaching skills in any post-doctoral capacity.
