Perimeter College Chorale Spring Concert!
The music performed during this semester’s concert will cover a wide range of styles – everything from Baroque oratorio to African-American spirituals to vocal jazz arrangements of hit songs by Adele and Billy Joel.
The Perimeter College Chorale consists of music majors, as well as students from across the college, and occasional faculty members. The ensemble regularly performs in the metro Atlanta area, as well as for Perimeter College Commencement ceremonies.

Professor Coleman is the William and Isabelle Curry Eminent Faculty Scholar Chair in Voice at Columbus State University. He is designated as a Master Teacher by the National Association of Teachers of Singing. His former students may be heard at the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Covent Garden, La Scala, and in several Broadway musicals. His students have been nominated for the Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Awards. Kelly Cash, Miss America 1987, studied voice with Professor Coleman. He is in demand nationally and internationally for master classes and workshops. Professor Coleman also has served as a judge for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, The Singer of the Year Competition, the National Finals of the MTNA Young Artist Voice and Senior Voice Competitions and the NATS Artist Award Competition.

Amy Leventhal received her Master’s in Music Composition from Georgia State University in December 2015. Ms. Leventhal studied with Composer Nikitas Demos. The Dekalb Symphony will be performing her work, Impressions from Japan for string orchestra, this 2016-2017 season. Ms. Leventhal just finished composing two pieces for viola; Sarah at the Beach for viola and piano and Our Mulberry Tree for bassoon, viola, and piano. Ms. Leventhal was Assistant Principal Violist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra from 1990-2009.

On Saturday, September 10, 2016, the Cathay Atlantic Art Ensemble will provide an afternoon of choral music starting at 3 p.m. in the newly renovated Cole Auditorium in the Fine Arts building (F) on the Clarkston campus.
The Cathay Atlantic Art Ensemble (CAAE) has been performing concerts, parties, and conferences across Atlanta and in various Chinese communities in the US since 1999. Those who are interested about hearing this group perform can learn more about the choral group on their website in addition to hearing samples of previous concerts.
