There are different ways to understand fractions. However, certain ways help primary school students solve middle school questions with only the most basic knowledge of fractions.

I enjoyed the approach, Shannon. I think there might have been a typo in Problem #2 where 88(6/11) should equal 48 instead of 66. Overall, it’s a pretty cool technique. Thanks for sharing it!
