The 34th Annual Mathematics VIRTUAL Conference hosted by

Perimeter College at Georgia State University

February 12, 2021 – Live Keynote via Webex

Math Trek – Teaching and Learning in Cyberspace

2020 has taught us that change is inevitable and unexpected. As a result, we have had to rethink our approach to teaching.

Typically, when face-to-face, we gather visual cues from students communicating their level of comprehension. How do we detect those cues online?

How do we keep students engaged, and what do we do when a student disappears?

How do we bring a sense of normalcy to what may seem like chaos?

What can we do to connect with students who may be mentally and physically miles away?

How do we break down the visible and invisible classroom barriers?

How can we effectively use technology and relationship-building to unlock students’ hearts and minds?

We want to know your thoughts!

We want to hear about your experiences!

We want you to share your trials and triumphs!
