Chad Marchong currently works with Georgia State University as the manager of Learning Analytics at the Center for Excellence for Teaching and Learning. Chad’s team is responsible for analyzing data that will support faculty, programs, departments, and colleges with building courses for their students to be more successful. Some of Chad’s professional accomplishments have been developing and contributing to initiatives that directly impact the success of the students at Georgia State. This includes students succeeding in the classroom (or online), continuing their education, and graduating. Chad recognizes the value of others, including the knowledge and experience they bring to projects and the workplace. Chad believes that understanding the value of others will develop synergies and lead to overall success.
Chad is a husband and a father of two. He has a daughter (6) and son (4). His wife is a former K-5 teacher and is currently homeschooling their children. Chad was born and raised in Queens, NY, and moved to Georgia 10 years ago. Chad’s hobbies include spending time with his family and, when time permits, running. Chad enjoys long runs to relax his mind and for health purposes. He has participated in several races, including the NYC Marathon in 2010. He receives many questions about running the Peachtree Road Race, and he has not run it yet, but he is sure he will run it one day!
