The courtyard at GSU is built in a way to create different walkways that separates people in certain groups or lanes. There are multiple brick squares that contains dirt and plants. The brick squares are in a pattern where it encourages students to walk in different directions to go to similar places like class or the library. While students and staff walk to different buildings they have to go around light posts, the fountain, brick squares, and also walk up multiple different sets of stairs that are separated in certain locations.
