MENTORING TOWARD COLLEGE (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta): An evaluation of an enhanced mentoring program that provides a specialized curriculum with a more structured educational focus for youth, and an intentional role for mentors to empower youth to achieve educational goals.
COOL GIRLS: Evaluating the effectiveness of Cool Girls Inc., a comprehensive youth development program that provides mentoring, tutoring, and life skills training to high risk, urban, preadolescent and early adolescent girls.
TEEN HEALTH PROJECT: We have partnered with a local community organization, the Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW) to evaluate a sexual health program for adolescents designed to prevent teen pregnancy and HIV in Atlanta.
LOFTY CREW: LOFTY (Looking Out For The Youth) is one component of the Teen Health Project. LOFTY Crew is a heavily youth-driven leadership council. Our project is a mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) study of how this council contributes to positive youth development and sustained benefits for participants.
