Jessica Koreis is a first-year student in the joint Masters in Public Health and PhD in Community Psychology program. She graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Psychology with a focus on Child Development and a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. After undergraduate, Jessica served in the Peace Corps in Rwanda working in Maternal and Child Health, focusing on malnutrition reduction. Jessica’s research interests encompass Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma prevention and intervention related to social injustice issues and determinates of health, particularly among historically marginalized and oppressed groups. She is also interested in resiliency and strengths dosage among these groups. In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling, listening to podcasts, and doing anything with friends.
