Minh’s Part:

윤세리가 11 과의 간첩이라고 했어요 (Ri Jeong-hyeok said Yoon Se-ri works for division 11)

약혼녀 라고 말했어요 ( He said she was his fiancée )

시찰하고 나서 윤세리는 리정혁의 집에서 살았어요 (After the inspection finished , Yoon Se-ri stayed in Ri Jung-hyuk’s house)

주인공이 4 명 시작 나서서 이야기에 흥미진진한 대목들이 많아요. ( The story became more interesting since there are 4 protagonist start appeared in this episode)

서단이 러시아에서 공부하기는 끝고 북한으로 돌아왔어요 (Seo Dan returned to North Korea after studying in Russia)

리정혁의 형 희생 이유는 암살했어요  (Lee Jung-hyuk’s brother was assassinated)

주거지를 도청했어요 ( His home was wiretapped by another spy)  

윤세리가 도망하면서 순찰대 만났어서 한국에서 돌아오는 설계 실패했어요 (While Yoon Se-ri on the way to escape to South- Korea, she encountered patrol and failed that plan) 

 

Evelyn’s Part:

  1. 마을의 숙녀들은 세리의 머리가 헝클어졌다고 말했다. (The ladies in town said Seri’s hair looked disheveled.)
  2. 리정혁이 세리의 머리 묶는 것을 도왔다. (Ri jeong-hyuk helped Seri to tie her hair up.)
  3. 리정혁에게는 러시아에서 막 돌아온 약혼자가 이미 있다. (Ri jeong-hyuk already has a fiance who just returned from Russia.)
  4. 리정혁과 그의 형 둘 다 피아노를 연주하곤 했다. (Both Ri jeong-hyuk and his brother used to play piano.)
  5. 세리는 거지 아이에게 많은 음식을 준다. (Seri gives a beggar child a lot of food.)
  6. 리정혁이 점점 착해지고 있어요. (Ri jeong-hyuk is becoming nicer.)
  7. 세리는 집으로 가기 위해 보트에 탔지만 순찰에 의해 멈추었다. (Seri got on the boat to go home but it was stopped by patrol.)

리정혁이 세리에게 키스했다. (Ri jeong-hyuk kissed Seri.)

Summary – Episode 2

리정혁의 집에서 윤세리가 숨어있는데 이곳에서 다른 군인들도  만났어요

수작(gossip) 함께 했지만 윤세리 남한에 와기 때문에  사투리가 어긋난 것 같아요

세리 가 분위기를 정말 즐겼어요. 북한 생활에 적응하는 법들을 배웠어요.

전기와  온수도 없고 혼자 돌봐야 해요

이 회는 구승준이라는 인물이 더 많이 나타났어요

리정혁의 도움으로 세리는 검열에서 면제되었어요

군인들은 세리를 한국으로 돌아갈 수 있도록 도와 주겠다고 약속했습니다.

리정혁은 세리에게 집밖으로 나가지 말라고 말했다.

리정혁은 교통 사고를 조사하기 위해 평양으로 갔다.

리정혁은 정치 총국장의 아들이다.

리정혁은 필요없다고 말했지만 그는 세리를 위해 한국 미용 제품을 구입합니다.

경비원이 집을 조사하고 김치 저장고에 숨어있는 세리를 찾습니다

리정혁은 세리가 그의 약혼녀라고 말한다.

Reaction Paper 2

불시착를 정말 재미있게 봤어요. 나는 북한에 대해 많은 것을 배웠다. 냉면이 원래 평양산인지 몰랐다. 멋지다! 냉면은 내가 가장 좋아하는 한국 음식이에요.대도시 평양은 리정혁이 살고 있는 마을과 매우 다르다.

I have always loved learning about different cultures which I think is why this drama appeals to me so much. In America (almost) no one cares to learn about North Korea probably due to the rocky relationship between the United States and North Korea. Even in the drama the US is called “the greatest enemy” when the characters briefly speak in English. A few years ago when I was still ignorant I did not know the difference between North and South Korea, then I learned they had been one that split into two. Still I assumed they were very similar. It wasn’t until very recently I learned they were very different. 

This drama does an excellent job of showcasing North Korea as a different but still beautiful country. I loved watching them cook 조개불고기 and laughed when they opened the refrigerator only to find it full of books and clothes. Watching how close a small town is, preparing kimchi together, going to the head of the village’s birthday party and all the kids marching to school together was really interesting to me. The kids using cobwebs to catch dragonflies and the way to take a hot bath was genius to me. Nowadays we are so hooked on technology I wonder if I could have come up with those ideas on my own. I also appreciate that they show Seri somewhat adapting to North Korean life even though it is so different from her regular South Korean lifestyle. 

I also think its funny have 세리 has a ‘South Korean’ accent but I can not hear the difference at all. My Korean skills are still not good enough to recognize an accent. I hope to rewatch this drama later in my life and actually notice the difference. I have enjoyed this drama so much I decided to finish watching it and I am already on episode 11! I am very curious to see how this story will end since there are a lot of factors that say they won’t end up together, but I am very hopeful they will be together in the end.
