Student Roundtable

Joel Austin

I am currently a student at Georgia State University in Game Design. I’ve been working in virtual production for about five-plus years now. I primarily focus on Unreal Engine and Volumetric. Recently my company Actor Capture has started to make its debut focusing on Motion Capture, Virtual Production, and game design. One of my primary goals is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to explore and flesh out their skills in virtual production. I believe that expressing your imagination virtual is a beautiful pathway for it is one of the few things that can reach everyone and your creativity can inspire others.

Sonya Reznikov

Following my lifelong appreciation of the visual elements of video games and animated films, I chose to attend Georgia State University due to its location in Atlanta’s urban, cultural epicenter. I look forward to interacting with and learning from technological hubs such as the Creative Media Industries Institute, throughout my studies of video game design. Therein, I hope to broaden my horizons in the scopes of animation and virtual reality, becoming as proficient as possible in the various intersections of art and technology. Additional artistic passions of mine include ballroom dancing and Russian theatre, both of which have expanded my design perspective through an increased understanding of human anatomy and cultural folklore, respectively.
