Eric Nefferdorf, Ed. D.
Eric Nefferdorf is an English Faculty member at Delaware Technical Community College. He is also an adjunct faculty member at West Chester University. He has 24 years of experience teaching developmental education English courses, noncredit courses designed to help students who have been evaluated as being underprepared by their post-secondary institution. His primary research interests focus on how strategy instruction can be used effectively to help students in full-semester and accelerated developmental education English courses. He has presented the findings of his unpublished dissertation Design, implementation, and outcomes of a condensed curriculum for an accelerated developmental education English course at national conferences. He is also the 2020 recipient of the Richard L. Venezky Award for Creative Research in Literacy from the University of Delaware for his commitment to improving outcomes for community college students placed in Developmental English courses.
