KemNu’s Design Challenge 

What is the problem you’re trying to solve? 

It’s been challenging for College and Greek organizations to create a community for their Members/ non-members. There is no dedicated platform for the Executive board to stay connected with their members and communicate with non-members about events, recruiting, and fundraising. Simultaneously, there is no way for students to stay informed on what is going on in camps.

Take a stab at framing this challenge as a question:

How might we help College and Greek organizations and students connect with campus and help them build their community?   

Now state the key outcome you’re trying to achieve:  

All College and Greek organizations will create their community for their members to host Events/Hangouts. At the same time, students will be able to see what’s happening on campus and be able to join those events and host their own.

Write down important aspects of the context or constraints that you need to consider: 

There will be a technological shift because it might be harder to make users switch to different platforms for their needs. Also, in the future, universities might come out with their solution to tackle the problem. 

What are some possible solutions to your design question? 

• What if there is a way college organizations can host private Events/Hangouts for Members or non-members? 

• What if there is a way the Host can decide who can join? 

• What if there is a way students and organizations can earn money? 

• Is there any easy way students will know what’s going on campus?
