About Me

Tgirl-14

Hello there & welcome.

My name is T’Shauna (tee-shaw-nuh) Henry, and I am a transfer student from Valdosta State University at Georgia State University. I am a sophomore and a Film & Video major. I grew up in Georgia my whole entire life specifically in Lawrenceville which isn’t too far from Atlanta, about 30-45 minutes. Just recently, I realized that I like to travel. I like to travel to many places and even live there if I’m ever granted the opportunity. I can honestly say that whenever I move into a new location outside my childhood house that it felt immediately like home.

My interests are dance, theatre and photography. I’ve had about a decade worth of experience with dance, half of it within theatre and recently got into the art of photography. I want to create and present representation in the media through the arts. It’s important to me that I get to share mine, including others’, stories, and that they are told the way they are supposed to. The arts are so important to me because they wouldn’t be so many things in this world without them. We would live in silence. Dance is something I’ve dreamt of doing professionally ever since I was young and I’m glad I was able to major in it even if for a short time. Theatre is something I find so challenging yet so easy to express myself into. I like the idea of stepping into someone’s shoes and telling their stories from their perspective. Photography is something that showcases stillness in a million ways through words and storytelling. I hope to be able to convey all these arts together as one while I study film.

This picture is a headshot portrait of me that a friend of mine back from Orlando took of me. I needed to update my headshot portfolio if I’m going to be involved with the arts. This picture showcases me in a way that despite my eyes being closed, that I can be recognized. Also, it represents me in a way of how “in peace” I look and I am. I love spending time outside soaking up the sun because aside from the energy that is in my body, the sun just gives me twice as more even if I’m sweating waterfalls under it.
