Auditions for “Godspell”

Theatre Arts Guild announces open auditions for the musical

“Godspell”

(2012 Revised Version)

Auditions will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 with appointments beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Casting: 10 roles

All ethnicities, genders and abilities are encouraged to audition.

 

For the audition:

  • Prepare 32 measures from a rock musical (NOT Godspell)
  • Bring music in your key. An accompanist will be provided.

No a Capella nor taped accompaniment will be heard.

  • Also prepare a 1 minute story.
  • You will learn a dance routine, be dressed to move.
  • If you play an instrument, please bring it and be prepared to play.
  • A headshot and resume are helpful, but not required.

 

This timeless tale of community, friendship, loyalty, and love based on the Gospel According to Saint Matthew uses games, storytelling, and songs to bring messages of kindness, tolerance, and love to all.

 

Performances will run the weekends of February 7 – 15, 2020 in the Cole Auditorium, Clarkston Campus.

Rehearsals will begin November 11. Rehearsals generally run Sundays and Mon. – Thurs. evening.

No rehearsals 12/19/19 – 1/5/20. Details at the audition.

 

This is a college/community theatre production. No pay is involved.
