Auditions for “The Theory of Relativity”

Theatre Arts Guild announces
AUDITIONS
for the jubilant musical
THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY
Book and Lyrics by NEIL BARTRAM. Music by BRIAN HILL
Directed by Sally J. Robertson
Music Directed by Patrick Hutchison

Auditions will be held Monday, August 27 with
appointments beginning at 6:30 p.m.
(Callbacks will be Tuesday, August 28 at 6:30 p.m.)
Location: Cole Auditorium (CF 1100), Fine Arts Building,
Georgia State University, Perimeter College, Clarkston Campus

Casting: 13 – 16 singer/actors to portray characters aged 18 – 25.
Need male and female types.
Anyone can audition, you do not need to be a GSU|PC student.
All ethnicities and abilities are encouraged to audition.
Prepare a one-minute monologue from a play written after 1970.
AND prepare 16 – 32 bars of a song you feel you sing well and fits your voice. (Bring piano/vocal sheet music in your key).
An accompanist will be provided.
Neither recorded nor a cappella auditions will be heard.
A headshot and resume are helpful, but not required.

“The Theory of Relativity” is an unconventional musical that is
a joyous and moving look at our surprisingly interconnected lives.
Using science to help us understand our surroundings, it examines the
interconnectedness of all people through an array of diverse life experiences.

Rehearsals begin September 4 and run Mon. – Thurs. evenings and on Sundays.
Performances will be held in the Cole Auditorium, Clarkston Campus
Fri. – Sat., Oct. 26, 27 & Nov. 2, 3 at 8 p.m. and Sun., Oct. 28 & Nov. 4 at 3 p.m.
