National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Deputy Director to Visit Urban Geospatial STEM Academy

NGIALogoMs. Sue Gordon, deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency will be meeting with selected students from the 2015 Urban Atlanta Geospatial STEM Academy for a meet and greet Oct. 28, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Atlanta Regional Commission. Parents/guardians of selected students are encouraged to attend this unique opportunity. During her visit, STEM Academy students will have the opportunity to present their projects to Ms. Gordon, showcasing their hard work and accomplishments. All presentations will also be published on an NGA special event website(www.nga.mil).  Additionally, selected students can enter to compete for a display spot at the NGA Tech Showcase at the agency’s headquarters in Springfield, Virginia, Nov. 18, 2015. If selected, travel will be sponsored by the Urban Atlanta Geospatial STEM Academy. Following the student team presentations, there will be a small reception and an opportunity for students and parents/guardians to interact with Ms. Gordon.
