This year’s Urban Atlanta Geospatial STEM Academy is off to a great start! The first two weeks are in the books. Students from around the region have worked with the ATL Beltline, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Intown Collaborative Ministries, and the Westside Atlanta Land Trust to map tree species, food availability in relation to sidewalk quality, and emotions as they relate to greenspace and the built environment. Today we begin week three of four. Our program is the only one of its kind in the country, and our students are achieving great results while having fun and learning new geospatial technologies.
