During the 60s and 70s, clothes weren’t advertised like how they are today.

Women looked for inspiration by reading popular magazines including Vogue, Seventeen, and LIFE magazine. These advertisements were vibrant and colorful showing different prints/ patterns. Reading these magazines were a woman’s main way of keeping up to date on the current fashion trends. During these decades, America wasn’t known for its high-end clothes. The fashion icons got most of their designer clothes and inspiration from Paris. If you weren’t interested in high-end fashion, or simply just couldn’t afford it, there were still plenty of options for you to choose from. Blue jeans became extremely popular, especially during the 70s. Wrangler Jeans was one of the most advertised and became the most popular jeans.
