The 1960s and ’70s were a pivotal turning point for fashion, specifically for women. The more mature women looked up to Jackie Kennedy for a more simple and clean look whereas the younger generation looked up to Brigitte Bardot and Twiggy as the fashion industry was taking a more edgier turn. There were many different things going on culturally that many women wanted to express themselves through their clothes, and they did a wonderful job in doing so. Here we are going to explore the cultural, media, and societal influences on women’s fashion during the 60s and 70s.
