The plants around the perimeter of the pond not only have a job in servicing the beauty of the park, but they also have a very important role in safety. The plants serve as a natural barrier, keeping people out of the water and safe. They also help keep people away from the animals that like to spend their days in the pond, like the ducks. Although the majority of the water comes from the rain, it’s still dangerous to drink and swim in the pond.
