Ponce City Market sits directly in the middle of a group of gentrification agents like Historic Fourth Ward Park, the BeltLine, and a number of high cost apartments, and because these things are bringing a higher income population into the area, the gentrification seems to be spreading, which threatens lower income neighborhoods like Old Fourth Ward. O4W Attractions, like Ponce City Market and the BeltLine sit almost exclusively on the perimeter of Old Fourth Ward, which means that over the next few years, we could see them start to expand inward, forcing the low income citizens out.
