On the rooftop of Ponce City Market sits the Skyline Amusement Park, where you can pay $10 for a day of mini golf, midway games, and beer gardens. From the park, you can get an amazing view of the Atlanta skyline (hence the parks name), and it’s marketed as a place of “old-timey fun”. However, the park also contributes to part of the problem with Ponce City Market, which is one of gentrification. The park seems to only cater to a middle to upper class audience. The bright lights, family oriented games, and comparatively expensive prices seem to exclude the citizens of places like Old Fourth Ward and other lower income communities in Atlanta.
