Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) and Writing Studio
WAC (Writing Across the Curriculum) Consultant
The role of writing consultant for WomenLead in Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides me the opportunity not only to think more deeply about writing and learning pedagogy but also led me to understand the competence expected of a professional in the field of business, entrepreneurship, and innovation. WomenLead’s signature experiences such as meetings with Delia Cochran (Consultant and former Global Capabilities Director, The CocaCola Company), Dr. Kristine Sickels, Kathy Waller (former chief financial officer of the CocaCola Company) enabled me to understand the data, trends and causes that preclude all women’s equitable representation in all roles and ranks in business, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and eventually help the student-writers to polish their resumes, portfolio, writing sample to become successful leaders in the world of business and entrepreneurship.
This writing consultancy provided me the scope to learn the design thinking process and goad me to think about the language of empathy and problem-solving approach that can be used in the teaching-learning process. Currently, Dr. Isabella Monlouis and I are working on an article on the correlation between classroom pedagogy and design thinking and aim to publish it in an academic journal. We aim to argue how the application of design thinking in pedagogy enhances the efficiency and skills of the students and how it can bridge multidisciplinary and multimodal approaches of learning.

- Meet students one-on-one to help them to brainstorm on topics of assigned writings.
- Prepare them to articulate their natural and acquired leadership style, skills, and experiences through their writings.
