How will your final grade be calculated?

Final grades will be calculated by earning points throughout the semester. Points will be granted for attending classes, completing in class work, successful completion of the major projects, studying, visiting office hours, and various other opportunities.

What is the “submission form” and how do you use it?

The submission form is used to submit any work you would like to earn points for. You fill in all required information (name, email address, category of work, and link to your work and proof of work), you also check the academic dishonesty disclosure before any work can be submitted.

Where on the course website can you find an overview of what’s due and the readings for each unit?

You can find this information under the weekly overview tab located at the top right of the course website.

What is the best way to see an overview of what’s due each week?

The best way is to look under the weekly overview tab.

What is the attendance policy?

You earn 20 points in normal meeting classes, and 40 points for hybrid classes for attending class. You lose 20 for regular, 40 for hybrid classes for any unexcused absences. Arriving late to class is a loss of 10-20 points for regular classes, and 20-40 for hybrid classes.

What are my office hours, and how do you make an appointment to see me outside of class?

Office hours are Monday/Wednesday 9-11 AM or by appointment at 25 Park Place office 2434. Can also schedule to meet via Skype or Google Hangouts by sending an email to rwharton3@gsu.edu.

How can you be assured of earning an “A” in this course?

2340-2600 points plus all major projects complete.

What are the minimum requirements for earning a passing grade of “C”?

All major projects complete plus 1475-2079 points.
