I’m happy to announce that I will be teaching my 105WS classes directed toward Mass Media Arts Majors.
I am busy remaking my course with an eye on journalism, broadcasting, advertising, marketing, and social media.
Stand by for big changes!
I’d like to help you out with some of the digital study aids out there, so I thought it would be helpful if I posted some occasionally on my blog.
Here’s one I talked about in class–but not all my classes–so I am posting it here so all my students can benefit. Continue reading

This is Dr. K’s Class Blog.
I will be posting assignments, suggestions for digital tools that might help you, and other items of interest on this blog all year.
I highly recommend that you subscribe to this blog (please see sign-up in the right-hand column). Once you sign up, you will receive any blog posts via e-mail (please use an e-mail that is connected to your smart phone).
Above this page, you will see some tabs for different classes, for information about me, and for resources that might help you in this class.
Most of my classes require that you build and maintain a blog. Under “resources” you will see instructions for how to make your own WordPress Blog.
In addition, you will find important resources for this class on my class dashboard. There you will have access to this blog, the Wise Student Resources page, my twitter page, the class WIKI, and a handy “to do” list of homework.
There is no final in my class, but all papers and make-up work is due by the end of final’s week.
I will e-mail the summary of your assignments (what has been turned in and what has not been turned in) by the beginning of final’s week.
Meanwhile, you know what you did and didn’t do. Did you finish the two discussion boards? Did you forget to send me the civilization screen shot? What about the Google Maps pictures? This is a very good time to SEND THEM TO ME!!!
Dear Class,
