Reflected Messages

We have all looked to the sky at some point in our lives. And when we do, for longer than one minute, we find ourselves in a deep thought for just a short moment. This brief period of reflection maybe under specific circumstances or for other various reasons. It’s safe to say we feel different emotions from another when we are gazing up at the clouds. Some of us look with a feeling of joy, optimism, or a cheerfulness. Conversely, most of us are looking because we long for inner peace. We share a connection with the sky in that moment of reflection. Sharing a communication within a free mind space where you are welcome to feel and think all that you truly feel. To be who you truly are without judgement; arguably a major key to finding inner peace. Alike Gilliam Wearing, I have asked strangers to tell me those thoughts. To take a moment to reflect and connect with the sky and share their conversations with me. I then captured those thoughts and alike Noa Jansa, displayed them in the sky. Using a camera and a mirror, I revealed these thoughts in red paint to ensure the things we may not want to share or simple can’t say out of fear, are publicized in a way that cannot be ignored. Encouraging those to take a moment, have that connection, and find that inner peace in the wide-open sky. A space where anyone can freely express themselves.
