As a student who has taken plenty of English or Language Arts classes, I think that this course, English 1102 is very different from the courses that I have taken. I have always learned how to write in a very structured format that would only brush over the focus on details, and emphasize more on the way we analyze a piece of writing. In this class, I not only learned how to understand an article that an author has written, but I was able to observe the small details of the subjects discussed in class. Different from other English courses, I learned that writing is not solely about grammar, a five paragraphed essay, or a strong thesis. English is the understanding of the message that the author is trying to portray and what subliminal messages are trying to be heard. On the other hand, the course does continue to help students build a strong opinion, statement, and structure of their writing to become successful throughout college and more.
Primary research is a source that is written by the author who does the first-hand research or experiences the written subject first-handedly. Secondary research is the source that takes the primary research and analyzes the information or adds on to what has been said. These two forms of researches build off of one another in order to enable the readers to have a better understanding or stronger opinion of what he or she is trying to research on. In my case, I will use both primary and secondary researches to
