This passage “10 things they want tell you about Flint Michigan” the author/advocate Michael Moore is informing the audience about the knowingly obliviousness that is ignored in Flint Michigan.  Michael Moore is persuading the audience into a more sympathetic feeling by putting forth convincing evidence to support his claim that Flint Michigan is a culture of death. Futhermoore Michael stated his 10 claims in a chronological sequence such that it grasp the readers attention in such way that it provokes curiosity. Moore believes that there are many things that happen in Flint that would give one the impression that there is a low value placed on human life. From the high murder rate, malfunctioning ignition switches, polluted water system and the lobbying political leaders Michael Moore thinks his city has been corrupted.  Moore emphasized the catastrophic events and tremendous debt Flint Michigan could soon get sucked into if the contaminated water is not fixed very quickly. The author believed that this catastrophic event could have been prevented and only occurred from the rich trying to get a big tax break.  Moore stated that when” Governor Snyder took office in 2011, one of the first things he did was to get a multi-billion dollar tax break passed by the Republican legislature for the wealthy and for corporations. But with less tax revenues, that meant he had to start cutting costs. So, many things – schools, pensions, welfare, safe drinking water – were slashed.” The author is highly convinced that Flints City Officials (mostly the Rich) intentions was to cut services, save money, and suspend democracy.  Moore thinks that people all over the world should make effort to help in the flint crisis because it can happen to you next. Michael Moore wants the society as a whole to become more cognitive of their environment and its surroundings.
