In this article “The Racial Origins of Zoning in American Cities” author Christopher Silver analyzes the history of land use and height regulation and how that ordinance chided most of the urbanized cities in the United States today. The introduction of zoning came about in the early 1900’s when they city of Las Angela’s adopted the nations first city wide zoning ordinance. They did this to help prevent the expansion of their urbanized area into an industrial catastrophe. Consequently this event lead to approval of legislatures world wide to allow for cities to develope their own architectural structure accordingly in any designated part, or parts of thier jurisdiction.   Even after the Supreme Court declared racial zone unconstitutional  The founders and planners found a legal way to segregate the community . The most  prevalent practices  is where they controlled the race indirectly through buildings roadways public places and highways .
