Cooks Antique Shop in Atlanta provided this 2 mule-team wagon to use a caisson for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. funeral procession on April 9, 1968. Pulled by “Bell” and “Ada” the wagon led a mourning crowd over 200,000 people the 4.3 miles from Ebeneezer Baptist Church to Morehouse College. Formerly used in old time prayer meetings, the wagon symbolized Dr. King’s Work among the poor.
